Road trip in the fjords

Day 1

After landing at Gardermoen, you will be handed the key to your rental car. Spend the rest of the day visiting the capital city of Norway. Oslo has a lot to offer : the Opera district, Bygdøy's peninsula and its museums, the fortress of Akershus, the beautiful Rådhus (city hall), and multiple shops and restaurants in Aker Brygge and Karl Johans Gate.

Day 2

Head towards the North to Dombås. On your way there, you will drive along Mjøsa, Norway's largest natural lake. Enjoy a break in Lillehammer, the city of the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Day 3

This day will take you to Molde and its mighty fjord, with a stage in Kristiansund. You will also witness the breathe taking wonders of the Atlantic Road, one of Norway's most scenic roads weaving between islands thanks to many bridges.

Day 4

If you follow the legendary Troll Road, you will be able to have lunch in Geiranger, from where you will embark on a cruise along Geirangerfjord. After enjoying the wonders of the fjord, you will drive to reach Førde.

Day 5

Head towards Lavik, then Oppdal, and finally Bergen. Norway's second largest city used to be part of the Hanseatic League. There you will find many wonders such as the district of Brygge, the stave church of Urnes, the fish market, along with many shops and restaurants. You can even take a peek to the whole city and harbour from the heights by taking the Fløibanen, Bergen's funicular railway.

Day 6

The Sognefjord is Norway's longest fjord and has multiple ramifications. On this day, you will discover two of them. The Nærøyfjord, listed as UNESCO World Heritage is reachable by heading to Gudvangen, where you can visit the authentic Viking village of Njardarheimr (also called Viking Valley). If you then head to Flåm, you will discover the Aurlandsfjord, along with Norway's steepest train last stop and museum. Keep on driving towards Sanderstølen. On the way, you will see the famous stave church of Borgund.

Day 7

Drive through the valley of Hallingdal until you reach Oslo. Enjoy the rest of the day to keep on visiting the city.

Day 8

All good things come to an end. Head towards the airport to return your rental car and get on your plane.
