The tracks pass through stunning and varied landscapes, offering panoramic views of mountains, lakes, and fjords.
Next, board the Flåmsbana, the panoramic train. This train takes you from Myrdal to the village of Flåm, located on the edge of the Sognefjord, in just one hour.
On this 20-kilometer journey, you can see rivers that have carved deep ravines, waterfalls cascading down the steep slopes of snow-capped mountains, and mountain farms clinging precariously to steep hillsides.
Upon reaching the shores of the fjord, you will embark on a cruise on the Sognefjord, the most impressive in Norway. The crossing takes you to Balestrand.
This small village on the northern shore of the fjord, spared from large cruise ships, is a lovely, peaceful stop in the region.
