The last town before the North Cape, Honnigsvåg is built on the Finnmark island of Magerøya. Home to around 2,500 inhabitants, the town's main activity is ship outfitting and fish freezing.
Departing along the road that crosses the North Cape plateau, you will likely spot a herd of reindeer among the hills scattered with water-filled craters. At the end of the road lies the North Cape rock, the northernmost point of Europe.
The platform overlooks the Arctic Ocean at a height of 307 meters. Inside the hall, a 5-screen cinema shows a 17-minute film showcasing the various aspects of the North Cape and its surroundings.

The largest crab in the world, the biggest King Crab ever caught had a wingspan of 1m80 and weighed 15kg. In northern Norway, they weigh an average of 4.5kg, and their meat is reputedly excellent.
