A town in western Norway with a population of 27,000, Molde is built on the shores of Romsdalfjord and is famous for its jazz festival.
The tour begins with a panoramic drive around Molde. The numerous and flourishing rose bushes found in the gardens of this charming city have earned it the title of "City of Roses."
From the viewpoint called Varden, you will have a sweeping view of the city, the fjords, the archipelagos, and 222 snow-capped peaks. Finally, you will head toward the coastline to take the spectacular Atlantic Road, which winds through islands and islets along the ocean.
Pure Norway favorites :
In Norwegian, Romsdalsmuseet, founded in 1912 and opened to the public in 1928, is one of the largest museums devoted to Norwegian folklore in the country.
Take a stroll through the open-air section and discover what Molde looked like before the great fire of 1916, with a reconstruction of one of its streets. In all, some forty buildings can be seen in this part of Romsdalsmuseet.
