Road trip in the North of Norway

This day will take you to Alta through the heart of the Lygnenalps, and by following the Lygnenfjord.

Head towards the North through the beautiful landscapes of Finnmark, until you reach Porsangerfjord. Follow the fjord to Honnigsvåg, the last city before the North Cape. There you can enjoy the region's specialty : the King crab.

On this day you will reach the North Cape. 300 meters above sea level, on top of the cliff, you will find a globe-shaped monument. It was created in 1978 to mark this point as the northernmost landmark in Europe.

Depending on the season, you will either enjoy the midnight sun, or the northern lights.

By going to Hammerfest, you will be able to board the ferry that will bring you back to Tromsø. Sailing alongside the coast, take a look at the Lygnenalps and the Norwegian Laplands. The cruise lasts about 12 hours.
