Discovering Helsinki
Arrival at Helsinki airport in the early afternoon.
Welcome by your local English-speaking guide and transfer to the city center.
Panoramic tour of the Finnish capital.
Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Sokos Presidentti 4* or equivalent
Day 2
Finnish composers' homes
Route to Jarvenpäa, in the Lake District, home of Jean Sibelius and Joonas Kokkonen. Visits by pianist Elina Viitaila and opera singer Antti A. Pesonen.
Lunch at Villa Kokkonen, then on to Mikkeli.
Dinner and overnight at Sokos Mikkeli 4* or equivalent
Day 3
Savonlinna visit and Opera Festival
Departure for Savonlinna, a charming town built on a string of islands between lakes Haapavesi and Pihlajavesi. Visit the Kerimaki church, and free time for lunch before a guided tour of the St. Olav fortress.
Buffet dinner at the Linnantupa restaurant, followed by an opera performance in the fortress auditorium.
Accommodation at Hotel Sokos Seurahuone 4* or equivalent
Day 4
Return in France
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer from Hotel Sokos Seurahuone to Helsinki airport.
Return flight to France.
